I took this photograph using my Canon 40D’s LiveView function, which allows one to see the camera’s image on the LCD as opposed to through the viewfinder. One advantage of this function, which I don’t often deign to use, is that one can take pictures of people—or six-legged beasts, as these ladies look—in the Boston Public Garden and not be noticed.
